Stephanie Waters Counselling in Wandsworth

Psychotherapy can offer support through life’s challenges and can help with difficult emotions and difficulties including loss, loneliness, anxiety, stress, depression, addictions and domestic violence.

You may be seeking counselling or psychotherapy for any number of reasons. Perhaps something specific has happened to you, that you would like to talk about and work through to find peace and healing. Perhaps you don't really know what is wrong, but you are aware of feeling low, anxious, overwhelmed or stressed and feel you would like some support in working through and exploring what might be informing those feelings. Perhaps, you want to use therapy as a means of personal development.

In all cases, my approach as a Psychotherapist is to work in a way which provides a safe, empathetic and confidential space, where you and I can together, explore what has brought you to therapy, and help you get back on track.

“When I have been listened to and when I have been heard, I am able to re-perceive my world in a new way and to go on. It is astonishing how elements that seem insoluble become soluble when someone listens, how confusions that seem irremediable turn into relatively clear flowing streams when one is heard.” - Carl Rogers (Founder of the Person-Centred approach)

I run a private practice in Wandsworth, South West London, and have provided therapy as a counsellor in a variety of settings including GP's surgeries, as well as in the voluntary sector.

I offer both face-to-face and online/telephone sessions, and we can work together to find what suits your needs best .

My face-to-face practice is based in Putney, South West London (SW15), only a 1 minute walk from East Putney tube station, and a short distance from Putney Bridge tube station, and Putney/Wandsworth Town overground stations. There is also "pay & display" parking bays nearby.
